This short piece of occasional music was commissioned for the wedding of two dear friends of mine in Finland, Timo Sipilä and Sarah Schauss. It was performed as a kind of meditation in the moments immediately following the pronouncement of the two as husband and wife. It is lyrical and melodic while comprised of a small number of short fragments that fit together like building blocks to extend to longer phrases. Mostly it's just kind of pretty.
This performance is recorded live by Don Onsgard at Carleton College, 8 Feb., 2008.
